Andre is making a name for himself in the UFC's welterweight division with his incredible knock-out victories. Currently training under Henri Hooft, Greg Jones, Kami Barzini, and other elite coaches out of Kill Cliff Fight Club (formerly Sanford MMA) in Deerfield Beach, Florida, he aims for one goal everyday - to be a champion. 

His daily training routine is nothing to scoff at either. With multiple training sessions a day, the intensity of just one of these sessions would make the average person sore for days. The internal drive and focus it takes to endure these trainings day in and day out clearly shows Andre's elite athlete mindset.

When he is not in full-fight mode, you might catch him grabbing an açaí with his main pal, Rocco. Rocco is a bull terrier with a ton of energy and the closest it comes to family for Andre while pursuing his dreams in the US. Although an ocean away, he remains very close to his family back in Portugal who are cheering him on as he makes them and Portugal proud.
